These early bergmutzen were first issued in the late 1930’s to SS VT troops. then issue to the totenkopf 1st regiment expidetionary forces that land in Norway in 1940, subsequently worn by the division throughout the war, then issued in limited numbers to units of the LAH during the Kharkov campaign .We have aged these caps to look like there original counterparts. They have a leather sweatband and cotton twill lining and marking just like the original. A metal cap skull was applied and well as the late 30’s style SS VT embroidered cap eagle applied in the left side (just like the VT oS cap).
